The examination for Mississippi Insulation (Commercial and Industrial) License has 50 questions, is multiple-choice, closed book examination that covers all aspects of insulation relating to construction.

The classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction includes the work of the following sub-classifications: Filter plants and water purification; pipe work (gas lines); pipe work (sewer); pipe work (storm drains); pipe work (water lines); power plants; sewer plants or sewer disposal; underground electrical conduit installation; landscaping, grading and beautification and fencing.

Mississippi General Contractor Continuing Education
The term of a Building Construction Contractor license shall be one year. All licenses and renewals shall expire December 31st of the year in which they are issued.* Applicant must show 4 hours of continuing education in order to renew this license. *The license is an annual license and becomes invalid on that date unless renewed; however, after a license has expired, the person to whom such license was issued shall have until the second Tuesday of January next following the expiration date, to file an application for the renewal of such license without the payment of a penalty and without further examination, and any person who makes an application for renewal of a license after the second Tuesday of January next following the expiration date of the license may, at the discretion of the subcommittee, have his license renewed after paying the required fee.

The purpose of this course is to introduce the attendee to the basic concepts of bookkeeping and accounting. While the terms are often used interchangeable, there is a distinct difference in the two terms. While bookkeeping is concerned with recording data in a certain manner, accounting is more concerned with presenting that data in a prescribed standardized way. It will also provide an overview of contracts and contract law. It will cover different types of contracts as well as the process of offering, consideration, and accepting the contract. It will also cover methods of contracts; design/build, turnkey, and prime contracts. This course offers 2 hours of Continuing Education.
