What makes Louisiana’s Contractor exams different?

For Building Construction and Electrical, you must use the State-supplied reference books during the exam. You cannot bring your own books, and no tabs, notes, or highlights are allowed not even sticky notes.
That means book bundles and tabbed sets sold online are useless in Louisiana. If you walk in with your own books, you wont be allowed to use them.
Other Louisiana exams including Mechanical, Heavy Construction, Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction, and Municipal and Public Works are closed-book. You wont have access to any references during the test, so prep is everything.
